How well does Line-X and these other spray-on bedliner materials hold up on fuel tanks and fenders? We're thinking of having our truck's done like that to give it a little different look. — Bob Tayle, Elko, NV

We have put Line-X on aluminum half fenders and it has held up real well, which should be the same case for the tanks. If you decide to use a truck bed liner I would defenitly go with a spray on and have someone do it professionally (limited lifetime warrenty). I've had bad luck with the DIY roll on bed liners in a couple cases. Even prepping it right I don't think it holds up near as well. We have been installing bed liner on fuel tanks and front fenders for about 5 years and have never had one come back with any complaints. We paint most of them the color of the truck it keeps the ends of the tanks looking great.Hope this info helps———Jim Raines, S&J Truck Sales, Ft. Wayne, IN; 800-325-0516; http://www.sjtruck.com

Hey, guys, is there a secret to the prep side that could save customers a little money on the cost of these spray-on applications? Anything they can do before bringing the truck to you or a similalr shop? — Bruce Smith, Editor
