TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR RIDE
Customized big rigs are the epitome of power, beauty and majesty in the world of custom vehicles. Each rolling piece of art is as different as the driver at the wheel. Custom Rigs, from the publishers of Overdrive, is dedicated to those truckers whose rigs are not just their livelihoods, but rolling expressions of the pride they take in their lifestyle – and their industry.
Each issue of Custom Rigs highlights some of the nation’s most tricked-out rigs along with how-to articles detailing step-by-step installations done by owner-operators and the nation’s most respected customizers.
Custom Rigs is also devoted to being the number one resource for owner-operators seeking the latest in parts and services related to customizing/personalizing their rigs, along with spotlighting the truck beauty shows so popular among truck owners and big-rig aficionados.
That mentality bodes well for my job as editor of Custom Rigs. My new bosses here at Randall-Reilly are very clear about the purpose of Custom Rigs: to showcase the vehicles and skills of those in the custom truck community while providing a conduit for the newest trends, products and services to reach those who take pride in their ride, be it a working rig or show truck.
My goal is to steer Custom Rigs in that direction. But I can’t do it without your help. So don’t be shy about calling or e-mailing to tell me exactly what you want to see in the magazine’s pages and on this website. Criticisms are just as valuable as compliments.
Custom Rigs is published quarterly, but our website is updated weekly with articles and information you’ll find both entertaining and educational. After all, this is your magazine. I’m just the guy lucky enough to be sitting in the driver’s seat taking it toward a destination readers, web viewers, and owners of custom rigs have set as the goal.– Bruce W.
