ICE ROAD TRUCKER TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS

Alex Debogorski, “The Original Ice Road Trucker” and star of a television show, will meet fans and sign autographs in the Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions booth at The Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas, on August 26-28, 2010.

Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, will be in the Dallas Convention Center, at booth #16089. He’ll be featured with the Firestone-brand truck tire team.

Few truckers are more “Born to Truck” than Alex Debogorski, having sat behind the wheel for 38 years. He’s been driving the treacherous ice roads of the Northwest Territories, Canada for 28 years.

Described as a larger-than-life character and something of a good-luck-charm to his fellow truckers, Debogorski typically pulls the first load onto the ice each season.

Debogorski is traveling to Dallas from his hometown of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada, where he lives with his wife, Louise. He and his wife are the proud parents of 11 children and nine grandchildren.

The Firestone-brand truck tire team is pleased to host Debogorski in its Great American Trucking Show booth #16089 located in the Dallas Convention Center.

Debogorski will appear on Thursday, August 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; on Friday, August 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Saturday, August 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Fergus Truck Show Open

The Fergus Truck Show features more than 150 million dollars worth of trucks, trailers, equipment, accessories and more, on display through Sunday, July 25.

The event is held at the Centre Wellington Community Sportplex (formerly known as Fergus and District Community Centre), located at 550 Belsyde Avenue, Fergus, Ontario.

The recreational complex includes 2 ice pads, an indoor pool, halls, kitchen, meeting rooms, and an exercise room.

The outdoor complex consists of 65 well-groomed acres, including ball diamond, soccer and rugby field, children’s playground, plus a treed rough camping area. There is limited access to water and hydro throughout the grounds. The Fergus Truck Show also rents close to 50 acres for camping, parking and show space.

Shauna Moran Benefit Truck Show

Shauna Moran is a beautiful & amazing 5 year old girl who was diagnosed on June 10, 2009 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (all).

She is a courageous & vibrant little girl who will be required to go through extensive chemotherapy treatment for 2 1/2 years.  She is the daughter of Amy & Dermot Moran of Little Ferry, NJ.

Trucking and construction industry personnel and enthusiasts will find plenty to see and do Oct. 8-9 during the inaugural Charlotte Diesel Super Show at the Charlotte Motor Speedway z-Max Dragway in Concord, N.C.

Produced by Randall-Reilly Business Media and Information, which also produces the Great American Trucking Show and Great West Truck Show, the Charlotte Diesel Super Show will be a one-of-a-kind outdoor extravaganza.
